Epsom and Ewell Health Walks

Epsom and Ewell Health Walks (EEHW) offers a programme of short, group walks throughout the Epsom and Ewell area. It began in 2004 under the national Walking for Health initiative. Initially it was run by Epsom and Ewell Borough Council but since 2011 it has been run by a group of volunteers. In January 2022 Walking for Health was superseded by Ramblers Wellbeing Walks (RWW). EEHW became a RWW Partner and took the name Ramblers Wellbeing Walks (Epsom and Ewell). From 1 October 2022 it ceased to be a RWW Partner and reverted to the name Epsom and Ewell Health Walks.

  What we do ...

The walking programme is ideal if you are new to walking or recovering from illness and want to get fitter gradually without doing strenuous gym exercises or keep fit classes. Walks are suitable for all levels of fitness, and ages.

All walks have been risk assessed and are led by a trained walk leader. A back marker is provided to ensure that no-one is left behind

Its a great way to make friends and meet new people.

For more information about Epsom and Ewell Health Walks see our EEHW Information page.

Walks are free of charge.

 Where we go ...

Walks take place at several different locations throughout Epsom and Ewell and the surrounding area including Epsom Downs, Oxshott Heath and Horton Country Park. We use footpaths and open ground where possible.

 When we do it ...

All walks start at 10am.

Monday 1⁄2 hour - suitable if you are recovering from an illness or are not so fit.

Sunday, Wednesday 1 hour  - a reasonable pace covering slightly less than 3 miles.

Current and future walk programmes can be found on EEHW Information (see Documents section)
